Is a mile equal to 1600m?

hey guys. maybe i phrased my previous question incorrectly. when i say my mile time is 3:32 (jk), it is actually my 1600m time. is it still a legit mile? for example, did the world record holder run 1600m or the precise distance?|||no, a mile is 1609.38m|||A meter is about a yard, a yard is about three feet. 1600*3=4800 feet. A mile is 5280 feet. Considering my meter was rounded, I would say that is very close to a mile|||yes but i cant beleive you no one has gotten close to doing a mile in 3:40 and you expect me to believe someone who has not been noticed by any scouts whatsoever can run a mile in3:32
