My all white german sheppard had 11 puppies is she a world record holder?

she hasnt even turned two yet!|||Hi,

Eleven is a lot of puppies! but the world record is 24 from a neapolitan mastiff called tia. She also holds the record for most surviving puppies from a single litter.

On that point you'll have to keep a close eye on the pups as your dog may not have enough milk to feed them all properly (its quite common with large litters) so you could end up helping to feed them all. You can get replacement milk from your vets.

Hope this helps|||Wow, you should be very proud of yourself in producing 11 pups with possible hip dysplasia since the dam isn't even old enough to certify her hips or elbows. No, this is not a record. My friends Shepherd had 14 some years back. I'm sorry, but this is very irresponsible with breeding a dog, especially a Shepherd, before the age of 2. Hope you have her spayed when this is all over, as you don't know very much about breeding, but seem to brag about it.|||Eleven puppies would be nowhere near a world record. From a dog under 2 years old, however, it IS a sign of an irresponsible, abusive owner who does not care about or love their dog. Poor thing...maybe someone will come along and rescue her along with all the puppies and spay her so she can have the life she deserves rather than a life of producing puppies for a greedy puppy mill.|||right ok. this is coming from a breeder of GSD's and who has a waiting list of 3YEARS for my pups. all my homes are checked and owners interviewed, my dogs are vet checked, and TESTED IN FULL before i breed and not brfore they are 3. you have been very silly but they are here now and being nasty about it wont change that. keep an eye out on them as 'failure to thrive' is a killer for inexperienced breeders and it generally means a pup was deformed or starved to death/dehydrated if it is a big litter. as for the litter size i generally find 13 is the average for me and the last litter in which i lost a pup was about 5 years ago, this is largley due to experience, insisting on vets attendence during birth (profit margin? £1 per pup, just as well im not in it for the cash because i would be sadly disappointed) and being very watchful often sleeping with the new litter for the first 3 weeks!!!!

please dont do this again, have her spayed. please please please! |||It's only just above the breed average, so nowhere near.

You have, of course, had her hip %26amp; elbow scored %26amp; the sire was also tested clear of haemophilia B? And checked that there is no epilepsy in their lines?

"vet checked" is no substitute for having all the necessary health checks done.|||No it's not a record, my male Afghan came from a litter of 13.

I think the record is something like 27!

As an aside, what in the world are you doing breeding her without testing and clearing at LEAST OFA? Which you can't clear till AFTER they are two! Puppy Mill Alert!!!!!!|||err no, an American Bulldog gave birth to 20healthy pups recently. Shes the record holder. But congrats anyway!|||no the record holder was(or is) a Neapolitan mastiff with 23 puppies (I think)|||didn't think a white GSD was recognised by breed clubs

she is also too young to breed from you are a BYB|||No it's not a record. But you are a BYB.

.|||...and you sound so proud of having your baby have babies.... shame. I feel sorry for the dog.|||You're an idiot.|||Not even close.

|||breeding is irresponsible and cruel|||No, the record is 24 puppies. But congratulations on being a grandparent! :D|||both my dogs had 11 puppies each so no its not a world record|||no sorry
